I have these memories
That I'll never forget
Memories of family and friends
That are no longer with us
Not a single one of you will be forgotten
Always in my heart and mind
I find I don't visit these memories enough
Buried behind the pain of loss
It affects me more than I'd like to admit
Running from these memories has left me emotionless
One day every single one of us will be nothing but a memory
Let's not waste what we have dwelling on the past
Let's not waste the present worried sick about the future
When only pain remains
We must dig deeper into the lacerations of life
Dig the knife so deep
Bleed your worries away
Running from fears
Will give you a life without lesson
Memories of moments that were never meant to last
Some we long to remember
And others we'd die to forget
The same memories that would guide me into my grave
Give me the strength to stay
